3-4-2-1: Man United’s strongest possible starting XI vs Fulham as Amorim makes 5 major changes in FA Cup

Following a hard-fought victory over relegation-threatened Ipswich Town in the Premier League, Manchester United will have to shift their focus to the FA Cup quickly as they take on Fulham in the fifth round at Old Trafford on Sunday.

The Red Devils have reached this stage of this competition by beating Arsenal and Leicester City in the previous two rounds, while Fulham had to overcome Watford and Wigan Athletic’s challenges.

As per team news, Man Utd have had a host of players unavailable in recent weeks owing to their injury problems with Lisandro Martínez and Amad Diallo’s seasons already over.

Moreover, Altay Bayindir, Tom Heaton, Kobbie Mainoo, Toby Collyer, Mason Mount, Luke Shaw and Jonny Evans have all been nursing their injuries.

Patrick Dorgu picked up a red card last time out vs Ipswich in the Premier League so he will serve a three-match domestic ban. This is the first of those three games, hence, he isn’t in contention to feature this weekend. Alejandro Garnacho sustained a knock in midweek and is in doubt ahead of this game.

Predicted Man Utd lineup vs Fulham
Andre Onana is set to continue in goal despite displaying an average performance last time out amid Bayindir’s absence. Harry Maguire could keep hold of his place in the CCB position and on either side of him, Leny Yoro and Matthijs de Ligt should start and complete the centre-back trio.

Noussair Mazraoui is expected to replace Dorgu and commence in the RB position and in that case, Diogo Dalot might be shifted to the opposite side.

Manuel Ugarte is likely to be in the CDM role and alongside him, Bruno Fernandes may start in the midfield. Joshua Zirkzee and Garnacho should be the two No.10s for United, therefore, Casemiro and Christian Eriksen would be among the substitutes.

Rasmus Hojlund is set to keep hold of his place in the CF position. Here is how How Man Utd could lineup vs Fulham

Predicted Manchester United XI: Onana; Yoro, Maguire, de Ligt; Dalot, Ugarte, Bruno Fernandes, Dorgu; Zirkzee, Garnacho; Hojlund
