Casemiro ‘agrees to leave Manchester United’ as huge January transfer claim made
The future of Casemiro at Manchester United is questionable. Under new United head coach Ruben Amorim, the 32-year-old has battled for consistent playing time after being linked to a move away from Old Trafford in the summer.
The Brazilian had only played 27 minutes in the previous five Premier League games before making his first start in SIX on Monday in a 2-0 loss to Newcastle.
Casemiro seems to have fallen in the hierarchy, and there have been rumors that he would quit United.
The former Real Madrid midfielder, who joined United for £60 million in August 2022, has been linked to a move to Saudi Arabia and may perhaps end up in Serie A. While in Manchester, Casemiro, who has eighteen months remaining,
January exit
Casemiro has ‘agreed’ to leave United in the January transfer window, according to UOL. The report states that Public Investment Fund, who own several clubs including Saudi Arabia quartet Al-Ittihad, Al-Ahli, Al-Nassr and Al-Hilal, are ‘determined’ to sign the midfielder.
It’s added that Casemiro’s desire to leave United would favour the Saudi group to accelerate their efforts to sign him in the winter.
UOL claim there should be ‘no major obstacles’ in getting a deal done from United’s side to sanction a departure for the four-time Champions League winner
Kleberson admission
Ex-United star Kleberson claimed back in November that Casemiro was ‘getting better’ and felt he had a future under Ruben Amorim at Old Trafford. “Casemiro is the one player who doesn’t shy away from the pressure; he can handle the pressure,” he told the Metro.
“People can get upset with him or the media, and the news can try and punch him down, but he’s always the same guy and will always try to play the way that he can play. You saw him score two goals [against Leicester City], the second goal that he scored he was the one that won the header and he still had the desire to get the next ball.
“I think things are getting better for him. Every time a season is done, you hear that Casemiro has to leave United, that he has done, has to go to Saudi Arabia or back to Brazil, but he can still play. He can still offer more to United.”
