Report – Man Utd prepared to bid £66.3million to sign Prolific Premier League player who wants Old Trafford move

Following a 2-0 defeat against Newcastle United last night, Manchester United have now lost four consecutive games in all competitions, three in the Premier League.

The Red Devils haven’t found the back of the net in the last three successive games in the league, conceding seven during this period.

Rasmus Hojlund has scored only two league goals this season, while new summer signing Joshua Zirkzee has been below average.

After a disappointing performance last night, he was taken off before the interval and the Old Trafford crowd even cheered his removal from the field.

Ruben Amorim needs to find a way to stop United’s slump quickly as after winning only one out of the last six league games, they are close to the relegation zone. Next up, they will face off against arch-rival and league leaders Liverpool in the league next weekend.

Fortunately, the winter transfer window is about to start and according to Spanish source, Fichajes, Man Utd want to address their CF problem by signing a dynamic player and have shown formal interest in Wolverhampton Wanderers’ Matheus Cunha.

Amorims’s side are even prepared to table a £66.3m bid to purchase him. However, PSG are also keen on securing his service so United will have to beat Les Parisiens to get the deal done.

Cunha is a versatile forward as he is capable of playing in the striker position as well as on the left side of the attack.

In 18 Premier League appearances this term, he has so far scored 10 goals and notched up 4 assists this season. The prolific Brazilian even scored and assisted in the 2-0 victory over the Red Devils on Boxing Day.

Cunha has proven his worth in the Premier League so he would be a shrewd acquisition for Man Utd if they purchase him.
