Man United fans slammed former Real Madrid star Casemiro following his performance against Tottenham Hotspur at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Sunday evening.

Ruben Amorim’s side traveled to north London for their Premier League match this weekend amidst an injury problem in Manchester United’s first team roster.

The 40-year-old United manager is severely lacking in midfield options, with Kobbie Mainoo, Manuel Ugarte, and Toby Collyer all sidelined due to injuries.

Casemiro has slipped down the pecking order at United under Amorim, and the former Real Madrid midfielder has been a shell of his former self on the field.

Ahead of the Tottenham clash, the 32-year-old United defensive midfielder has netted three times in 24 matches in the 2024-25 campaign for the Red Devils.

Casemiro has managed 10 Premier League starts in 14 matches ahead of returning to the starting XI for United’s encounter at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The Brazil midfielder was deployed in the heart of midfield alongside Bruno Fernandes and Casemiro was left deeply exposed with his performance.

Manchester United fans on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, slammed Casemiro for his poor midfield showing against Tottenham.

Red Devils supporters demanded for the Brazil midfielder to be sold this summer after his “dreadful” display and claimed he is “absolutely finished” at the top level.

Other United fans, on the other hand, also took aim at Casemiro’s “battery” and said he is “too slow now” to play in the middle of the park for Ruben Amorim’s side.

“Casemiro is dreadful. Get him out by any means necessary in the summer,” one fan said.

Another X user wrote: “You may as well lay an empty kit in the middle of the pitch as it would still be quicker than Casemiro moving about.”

“Casemiro absolutely finished at this level. Get on the kids,” a third tweeted.
