Man Utd fans all saying same thing about Bruno Fernandes performance vs Fulham in the FA Cup after surprise defeat

Following Bruno Fernandes’ performance against Fulham in the fifth round of the FA Cup at Old Trafford, Manchester United supporters were quick to voice their opinions about the Red Devils player.

In January, the Red Devils began their FA Cup trophy defense when 10-man Manchester United defeated Arsenal in a thrilling penalty shootout.

After winning the FA Cup in the third round at the Emirates, Ruben Amorim’s team hosted Leicester City at Old Trafford for their FA Cup matchup in the fourth round.

In February, United overcame a deficit to defeat Ruud van Nistelrooy’s Leicester City team 2-1 in the end, securing their passage to the fifth round.

The Red Devils lifted the FA Cup trophy at the end of the 2023-24 campaign after Erik ten Hag led United to a sensational 2-1 win over Manchester City last May.

However, United have been without Erik ten Hag for this season’s FA Cup campaign after the Dutchman was axed by the Premier League club last October.

Ruben Amorim’s side hosted Fulham late Sunday afternoon only days after United’s 3-2 Premier League comeback win against Ipswich Town at Old Trafford.

Bruno Fernandes was met with heavy criticism from Manchester United legend Roy Keane during an episode of The Overlap’s Stick to Football show earlier this week.

Roy Keane dropped a scathing assessment on the 30-year-old current United captain and clashed with Arsenal legend Ian Wright over Bruno Fernandes’ influence and impact at the club.

United fans on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, waxed lyrical about Fernandes’ importance to the United first team after his performance against Fulham.

One fan asked: “I hope Roy Keane is watching Bruno Fernandes?”

Another wrote: “That rant from Keano was annoying, TBH. Bruno basically carries us [and] we’d be in the relegation zone without him, so for Keane to go in on him of all people was weird.”

Someone else commented: “Bruno Fernandes. Take that, Roy Keane.”

“Roy Keane should really apologise to Bruno,” a fourth said.

While a fifth posted: “Bruno United FC. [The] best way to respond to Roy Keane is to perform on the pitch and he’s the only one who’s put 100 [per cent] in today.”

And a sixth X user tweeted: “I need Roy Keane to come out and talk about Bruno again.”

“Y’all need to start putting respect on that boy Bruno’s name,” another argued.

Somebody else suggested: “Roy Keane reckons Bruno is the problem. Seriously?”
