Man United receive huge blow in transfer race to sign £50m Premier League defender this summer -Reports

Crystal Palace have made final transfer decision to keep hold of their defensive star Marc Guehi amidst strong Manchester United links this summer.

According to a report from Football Insider, Crystal Palace have decided not to sell their Centre-back Marc Guehi.

Oliver Glasner is determined to keep him in his squad despite interest from Premier League giants Manchester United.

Guehi came up the ranks at Chelsea but he made the move to Selhurst Park in search of regular minutes.

The move to Palace seems to have done wonders for the English centre-back as he has only gone from strength to strength since joining them in 2021.

Manchester United want to sign Guehi
The 23-year-old centre-back still has two years left on his contract with Crystal Palace but multiple top clubs are trying to prise him away from the Eagles. Manchester United are one of the clubs keen on signing Guehi ahead of next season.

The Red Devils are in desperate need to reinforce their backline and they are pushing for the services of multiple centre-backs. Guehi is one of their top targets following the exit of Raphael Varane and they have been working hard to strike a deal with Palace for his services.

Glanser determined to keep Guehi
While United are quite serious about their pursuit of the English international, they might not be able to sign him this summer as Oliver Glasner is keen on keeping hold of the young defender.

After making an impressive start to his managerial stint at Crystal Palace, the Austrian manager wants to ensure he has the core of the team together to ensure they can start from where they had left last season.

While Palace expect quite a few offers for the 23-year-old, they do want to sanction his departure as he is integral to their plans moving ahead
