Man United ‘Make first move’ to sign €30m Bayer Leverkusen defender ahead Of Bayern Munich
Man United have enquired about Bayer Leverkusen defender Jonathan Tah.
Tah is wanted by Bayern Munich, but no deal with Bayer has been reached yet.
Florian Plettenberg of Sky Sports Germany has stated that Jonathan Tah, a defender for Bayer Leverkusen, is the subject of an inquiry from Manchester United.
The Red Devils have inquired about Tah’s availability because Bayer and Bayern Munich have not yet reached a decision over his transfer.
Tah has been selected by the Bavarians to replace Matthijs de Ligt, a target for Man United, who is anticipated to leave Germany this summer.
Tah, who won the Bundesliga for the first time with Bayer, is coming off a fantastic campaign for Xabi Alonso’s team that saw them go undefeated in Germany.
Tah has been strongly linked with Bayern in recent days as new manager Vincent Kompany is expected to bring in multiple reinforcements ahead of his debut campaign.
The 28-year-old, who has been described as ‘deceptively quick’, could soon follow the likes of Hiroki Ito, Michael Olise, and Joao Palhinha to Allianz Arena as part of Bayern’s summer rebuild.
According to Plettenberg, Bayern and Tah reached a verbal agreement a while ago, but a deal with Bayern is yet to be reached, leaving the door open for Man United
