I love Man united but I’ll have to leave – Man United reportedly prepared to let their £60m top scorer this season to leave in January after sensational offer

Manchester United could be willing to let Casemiro leave in January, if they receive a suitable offer.

United signed the Brazil international last season and despite making a huge impression in his first year at Old Trafford, the second has proved to be far more difficult.

The 31-year-old was signed for £60m and is reportedly on £300,000 per-week – something that the United brass, and some fans, are mindful of, given his age.

In amongst his recent drop off in form, the midfielder has been linked with becoming the latest high profile name to make the move to Saudi Arabia in 2024.

Casemiro played 51 times, and scored seven goals, in his first season at Manchester United. He has played 12 times, so far, this season and is the club’s top scorer, on four goals.

The Brazilian suffered a hamstring injury in the 3-0 League Cup loss to Newcastle, and Erik ten Hag expects him and Lisandro Martinez to be out a while. He told reporters:

“Casemiro and Martinez are really strong injuries, I don’t expect them back before Christmas.”

When Casemiro returns, it could even be for a different club. They added that while the club are not actively looking to sell, they would consider moving the former Real Madrid man for the “right price.”

Additionally, a move to the Middle East could see the midfielder link up with former Madrid teammate Cristiano Ronaldo at Al Nassr or international partner Neymar at Al Hilal.

Casemiro still has four years left to run on his contract at United however United may see this as an opportunity to cash in while his stock is still high enough
