Erling Haaland sends 5-word warning to Man United on Instagram ahead of Manchester Derby

Manchester City are today taking on Manchester United at Old Trafford in the Premier League.

Pep Guardiola’s side are looking to make it back-to-back wins, after defeating Brighton last weekend.

City currently sit third in the table.

Both Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal have already won their games this weekend, and City could do with three points to keep pace with the north London clubs.

City have tended to get the better of United in recent years.

Last time out, of course, City beat their rivals 2-1 in the FA Cup final back in June.

Erik ten Hag’s side will be desperate to get one over on City, if anything to really kickstart their season.

United have been very poor so far, but somehow find themselves just six points behind City in the table. Getting to just three points behind will no doubt serve as big motivation.

It will certainly be interesting to see how Pep Guardiola sets up his team.

The Norwegian sensation – described this week as a ‘superstar’ by Kyle Walker – has actually not been firing on all cylinders this season, but has still bagged 11 in 14 games across all competitions.

He will be absolutely determined to make a big impact today, and he has issued a brief message ahead of the contest.

Taking to Instagram last night, he ominously wrote: “Fully focused on the derby.”

Haaland will be determined to score today
There is no doubt about it – Haaland will be so determined to get on the scoresheet today.

When he first signed for the club, he mentioned that the Derby was the game he was most looking forward to.

He got a hat-trick at the Etihad last season, but did not score in the game at Old Trafford, or the FA Cup final at Wembley.

Therefore, he will head into this game with a fire burning beneath him
