From Spain – Man United ‘best positioned’ and ready to ‘make huge bid’ to sign £60m Real Madrid defensive target

Manchester United are serious about signing Jarrad Branthwaite and the latest reports coming from Spain are interesting.

As per today’s version of Mundo Deportivo (news image provided below), Man Urd are ‘best positioned’ to sign the English center half, who is a wanted player in the market.

The Catalan media outlet have mentioned that Real Madrid, Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea, Man City, Arsenal and Newcastle are also keen on signing the youngster from Everton.

The Los Blancos have made contact with the Goodison Park outfit to inquire about the situation of the central defender.

However, of all the mentioned clubs, Man Utd are best positioned to sign Branthwaite and are willing to ‘bid very hard’ for him in the summer.

The departure of French defender, Raphael Varane, was recently confirmed, on the other hand, veteran, Harry Maguire, is not convincing.

In such a scenario, Man Utd see Branthwaite as the ‘pillar’ on which to base their defense.

MD claim that Everton are asking for a fee of more than £60m (70 million euros) to offload their prized asset in the summer transfer window.

In Britain, the valuation reported in the media is much higher and is around £80m (The Mail).

The Old Trafford outfit have a goal difference of minus three with just one game to go in the Premier League and have already let in fifty eight goals.

They need a rock solid defender to solve the conundrum at the back. In your view should Man Utd bid over £60m to sign Jarrad Branthwaite
