CONFIRMED! – Top Transfer journalist and sky sports confirms Man United ready to sign ‘brilliant’ £15m Bundesliga striker after scouting him this weekend
Manchester United had scouts watching ‘brilliant’ £15m striker in person this weekend
Serhou Guirassy is one of the most talked about strikers in Europe right now and it looks like Manchester United are very interested.
Guirassy has been hammering in the goals for VFB Stuttgart, smashing in 16 goals in just 13 Bundesliga games.
The 27-year-old, who plays for Guinea internationally, is catching the eye with that form and the likes of Everton and Tottenham are said to be keen on signing him.
However, according to 90Min, it is Manchester United who were among the big clubs to send their scouts to see Guirassy in person this weekend.
Manchester United send scouts to watch Serhou Guirassy
According to the report, United were among a cluster of clubs who made the trip over to watch Guirassy in person against Bayern Munich.
In the end, the striker didn’t have much of an impact as Bayern won the game and restricted him to just scraps.
However, his 16 goals prior to that in the league mean his stock is high and the likes of West Ham and AC Milan were also believed to be in attendance.
Guirassy’s agents are apparently hankering for a move to England in January and they believe the £15m forward will indeed get his wish in the winter window.
Guirassy knows the time is now
At 27, it isn’t like Guirassy is just emerging in the game and there’s a good reason why his agents will be pushing so hard to get a deal done now.
All the top players know that the big money and contracts are over in the Premier League and it’s little wonder his reps are trying to use his good form to get him that contract right now.
Guirassy has looked great for Stuttgart but quite whether he is good enough to play for Man United, is another question entirely.
He has been described as being ‘absolutely brilliant‘ but the pressure of Old Trafford is another matter.
Guirassy, then, might well have to make do with a move elsewhere in the end
