Brentford’s latest Bryan Mbeumo demands from Man United with prolific star wanting Old Trafford’ move

Manchester United are now leading the race to sign Brentford forward Bryan Mbeumo.

With a deal for Matheus Cunha already complete, Manchester United are looking to at least one more forward into the mix.

Separate to a chase for a striker, Manchester United are pursuing Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo.

Now a report via The Athletic has claimed Bryan Mbeumo has decided he wants to move to Manchester United ahead of Newcastle and Arsenal.

This comes despite the Red Devils’ poor 2024/25 campaign, with Mbeumo determined to be part of the United rebuild.

Brentford’s Bryan Mbeumo demands
Manchester United convincing the player to join the club is only half the battle. A deal needs to be struck with Brentford.

United In Focus understands via transfer insider Graeme Bailey that Brentford want ‘Matheus Cunha’ money to sell Bryan Mbeumo.

Manchester United agreed to pay £62.5 million for Cunha, and Brentford believe a precedent has been set, arguing that Mbeumo had a more prolific year.

Mbeumo scored 20 Premier League goals in 38 starts, with a further seven assists. Cunha netted 17 goals in all competitions, and 15 in the league, with six assists

The advantage for United is that Mbeumo has indicated he wants to move to Old Trafford, and could resist other potential deals.

If United are able to get a deal done for closer to £50 million than £60 million, the negotiating will have been a success.

With the Cunha deal, a move for Mbeumo would wipe out most of United’s budget, and leave the club reliant on sales to fund further moves.
