BREAKING: Saints owner Gayle Benson makes surprise decision as she names her clear favorite Candidate for Head coach

The New Orleans Saints are looking for a new full-time head coach after firing Dennis Allen during the 2024 season.

Allen was fired in November after the Saints had lost their seventh game in a row and named special teams coordinator Darren Rizzi as interim head coach.

The Saints won their first two games of the season but it was all downhill from there.

Rizzi wasn’t able to get them to play any better since they have a 5-11 record heading into their last game of the season against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He won’t be the new full-time head coach but there’s a clear favorite for the role.

Glenn is expected to be a hot commodity during this year’s coaching carousel since he’s one of the top coordinators in the NFL. He’s done head-coaching interviews before but didn’t find the right fit, leading him to stay with the Lions.

He has connections to the Saints since he spent the final year of his career with them in 2008 and was their defensive backs coach from 2016-20 before joining the Lions to be their defensive coordinator in 2021. He knows the organization and knows what it takes to get them back on track.

It may not happen overnight but he’d be able to at least instill some confidence within the fanbase if the Saints have a good offseason and look more respectable in a lot of their games
