BREAKING: Aaron Rodgers Reveals Surprising Plan if Jets Draft New QB

AM With just three games remaining in the New York Jets’ 2024 season, Aaron Rodgers’ time as the team’s starter may be coming to an end.

Although Rodgers and the team’s front office haven’t confirmed if they plan to bring him back in 2025, it’s looking less and less likely that the 41-year-old will be the one under center next season.

However, when speaking to media after practice on Wednesday, Rodgers made it clear that his decision to retire won’t be impacted by what the Jets do.

In fact, Rodgers said that he would be a mentor if the team decided to bring in a new quarterback in the upcoming draft.

“When (the Packers) drafted Jordan (Love), I felt like I was one bad stretch from being benched — and I won MVP a couple of years, so that’s the way the league is,” said Rodgers. “You have to prove you can play every single week and through stretches.

So if (the Jets) asked me back and they drafted a guy, I’d mentor the hell out of him if I was playing and I’d try to play as well as I could to keep him on the bench.”

But, with three games remaining in the regular season, New York’s position in the first round could certainly change before April.

Rodgers still has another year remaining in his contract with the Jets, but the team could also decide to release him in the offseason, especially if they decide to go another direction in the draft
