Anthony, Rashford & Hojlund to start: Man Utd predicted starting XI to face Galatasaray in Champions League clash as two changes made

Manchester United are now preparing to take on Galatasaray in the Champions League on Tuesday night.

Erik ten Hag’s men are in the midst of a difficult run of form that continued with a defeat to Crystal Palace in the Premier League on Saturday.

United lost their Champions League opener, and they will need to pick up their first win in the competition sooner rather than later, with Galatasary their likely rival for a second place finish in the group, assuming Bayern Munich remain in top spot.

Ahead of the clash with Galatasaray, we have put together a predicted XI for United, who continue to deal with a number of injuries.

Ahead of the former Ajax ace, Ten Hag could stick with the same back-four that started the weekend’s defeat to Palace, though the United manager has not said whether Sergio Reguilon will be available or not.

Presuming he misses out for the third game running, Sofyan Amrabat is likely to continue at left-back.

Diogo Dalot is a shoo-in at right-back and it is highly likely that Raphael Varane and Victor Lindelof will start in the centre-back spots. Harry Maguire, however, will be pushing for a starting berth.

In midfield, Casemiro could be supported by Mason Mount and Christian Eriksen. The latter was back in the matchday squad at the weekend and stepped off the bench with just over 10 minutes of normal time remaining.

Should the Dane be given the nod to start alongside Casemiro and Mount in the centre, Bruno Fernandes could be forced out wide. Facundo Pellistri started on the right wing against Palace on Saturday but failed to make a mark, meaning his position in the starting line-up is under threat.

In the event of Fernandes starting on the right, Rasmus Hojlund and Marcus Rashford, despite the latter’s recent struggles, are likely to join him in attack. Anthony Martial and Alejandro Garnacho are knocking on the door in search of starting berths.

Man United predicted line-up: Onana; Dalot, Varane, Lindelof, Amrabat; Casemiro, Eriksen, Mount; Fernandes, Hojlund, Rashford
