One of the few bright spots for Manchester United this season has been Amad Diallo.

His recent injury layoff dealt a serious blow to Ruben Amorim, but he has since recovered and is ready to contribute in the Europa League final against Tottenham Hotspur.

Amad has earned praise for his performances this season, which begs the question of why Erik ten Hag consistently ignored him the previous season.

Under Amorim, however, things have completely changed, and Amad is now regarded as a star player for United.

The Red Devils have two weeks to prepare for the Europa League final, and, with Amad fit, there’s a chance for him to make a name for himself yet again.

The Ivory Coast international was asked to name the player at United he has the best connection with on the pitch.

That was when Amad revealed he has a great connection with Bruno Fernandes, claiming that he learns a lot from the Portugal international, who has been United’s best player for years.

When asked which players he has connected with most at United, Amad said: “I have connected with everyone, but I like to play with Bruno, we understand each other, we have a good connection on the pitch.

“Bruno is technical, he likes to keep the ball, he’s intelligent in the game, so I learn a lot of things from him.”

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that Fernandes and Amad are topping the goalscoring charts for United in the Premier League this season, even though the young winger was missing for a sustained period due to injury.

Fernandes is topping the charts with eight goals in 33 games, while Amad has seven in 23 matches.

They are closely followed by Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund.

United have three league games left to play this season for these players to add to their tallies.
