CONFIRMED: Fabrizio Romano confirms Man United keen to sign a late deal for £63m Chelsea superstar in the next 24 hours with Personal terms agreed for superstar

Manchester United’s search for a new left back could now lead to a late deal for Chelsea left back Marc Cucurella.

Luke Shaw’s injured has left United in a real pickle at left back.

The England international could miss up to three months of action according to The Athletic, having suffered a muscle injury.

Tyrell Malacia isn’t available right now either and Alvaro Fernandez may not be ready for Premier League action.

Diogo Dalot started in that role against Nottingham Forest whilst Lisandro Martinez could be used there if absolutely needed.

United may want another natural left back though and a couple of names have now emerged as potential targets.

Manchester United interested in Chelsea’s Marc Cucurella
Tottenham Hotspur defender Sergio Reguilon is one name mentioned, but fellow Spaniard Marc Cucurella is also on the radar.

Fabrizio Romano reports on YouTube that United have now made a first move for Cucurella by asking Chelsea about his availability.

Romano claims that there is no offer on the table and talks aren’t advanced but United have at least been asking the question about Cucurella.

Newcastle United were interested in signing Cucurella but ended up signing his Chelsea teammate Lewis Hall instead.

There is still a chance that Cucurella ends up leaving though and United are now looking into a deal before Friday’s transfer deadline.

“At the moment, it’s not an advanced negotiation, there is no bid, but I can tell you in the last 24 hours, from what I’ve heard, Manchester United – among three or four names they are considering for the new left back after the injury of Luke Shaw – they have already asked for multiple players, so they are calling around to discuss potential options, it is not only one.”

“One of the players they called for to understand the potential cost of the deal is Marc Cucurella. There is a chance for Cucurella to leave Chelsea in the final days of the transfer window.

He was in the list at Newcastle, then they decided to for Lewis Hall, so let’s see what is going to happen with Cucurella but Manchester United, again, it’s not a concrete negotiation yet, but just a request to be informed on the conditions of the deal.

They made contact with Chelsea to understand the situation of Cucurella, so let’s keep an eye on that one,” he added.

The Spaniard, formerly of Barcelona, arrived from Getafe in the summer of 2021 and lasted just one year on the South Coast.

Chelsea struck a huge worth up to £63million, seemingly convinced that Cucurella could replicate his Brighton form at Stamford Bridge.

That just hasn’t happened though and Cucurella has looked completely shot of confidence in recent times.

With Ben Chilwell Chelsea’s clear first-choice left back, Cucurella may well be tempted to try and get his career back on track at United.

We’re imagining that United just want a loan deal right now, and it’s unclear whether Chelsea would be interested in such a deal.

It’s something to try and thrash out in the coming days though with United potentially able to help Cucurella recover his value with a strong season
