Angel Gomes Manchester United
Manchester United are making plans for upcoming transfer windows and after luring Ugarte, they are still looking to reinforce the midfield.
The Uruguayan international is a top addition in the center of the park but the Red Devils have eyes on further improving the department as the likes of Eriksen and Casemiro are past their primes.
According to an exclusive story covered by The Sun, Man Utd want to bring Angel Gomes back to Old Trafford.
The British news source have mentioned that the likes of Newcastle United, Liverpool, Spurs and German giants, Dortmund, are also interested in the midfielder who made his debut and impressed for England in the recent international break.
Angel Gomes only made 10 senior appearances for Man Utd and was allowed to leave on a Bosman when his contract expired four years ago.
Now, the Old Trafford club are looking to get him back for free and may have the edge over rivals as the player has himself admitted that he would love to return to the club (L’Equipe).
The 24-year-old star’s current contract with Lille will expire next summer and he takes home a low salary of £676,000 a year.
Last season, Gomes, who can effectively play in the No.6, No.8 and No.10 roles made over 40 appearances for the French club and directly contributed in 12 goals (2 goals and 10 assists).
Erik ten Hag sold McTominay, his top scoring central midfielder of last season, to Napoli and the best days of Casemiro and Eriksen are long gone. Hence, do you think Man Utd should opt to bring back Angel Gomes to improve the midfield?
