Man United submit offer for PSG star who Chelsea are keen to sign this summer

Manchester United have submitted an offer to sign Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Manuel Ugarte.

The Uruguayan international rejected a summer transfer to Chelsea in favor of a £51.1 million move to the French capital.

But under Luis Enrique, Ugarte began the season as a regular and was sidelined throughout the second part of the season.

The 23-year-old is currently available for bids from the Ligue 1 powerhouses, and United is eager to add a new midfield player as Casemiro is expected to depart the team.

L’Equipe reports that United made an undisclosed bid for Ugarte, which PSG turned down.

However, the French club have made it clear that negotiations remain ‘open’ and they are willing to listen to improved offers for the former Sporting Lisbon star.

United are yet to make a signing this summer, but central midfield is one area of priority
