Man United transfer news Live! – Man United benefit from Kylian Mbappe transfer as Erik Ten Hag lines up €100m bid after shock transfer decision

Manchester United hope to benefit from the transfer chaos that Kylian Mbappe is causing to land Real Madrid midfielder Aurelien Tchouameni, Sport reports.

Man Utd boss Erik ten Hag has personally requested the Red Devils board to buy the 23-year-old from Real Madrid, with the Old Trafford club having been interested in the France international star last summer too.

Although Tchouameni was an important part of Carlo Ancelotti’s team last season, a transfer due to ‘market conditions’ is not entirely unthinkable.

Will Man Utd really sign Tchouameni?
This is an exciting development for Man Utd supporters, but the reality is that such a transfer is unlikely.

The Red Devils have stubbornly refused to pay big money for a centre forward this summer, despite that being a position they are clearly in need of, while the likelihood is that Sofyan Amrabat will arrive from Fiorentina for a far smaller fee than the one required to sell Tchouameni
