Man Utd hold talks with Chelsea star’s agent as new signing completes medical -Reports

Manchester United have held talks with Nicolas Jackson’s agent as they explore a summer move for the Chelsea striker with Bryan Mbeumo completing his medical ahead of his transfer.

Ruben Amorim’s side have been repeatedly spurned in their efforts to sign a new centre forward this summer.

Liam Delap rejected a move to Old Trafford to instead join Chelsea while Hugo Ekitike has opted to join Liverpool this week despite a late offer from the red half of Manchester.

United have also made another approach to sign Viktor Gyokeres, close to agreeing a fee with Sporting CP with Arsenal still to strike a deal with the Portuguese champions. But the Sweden international remains intent on joining the Gunners

Ollie Watkins and Randal Kolo Muani are two other options under consideration but United are also weighing up an offer for Chelsea star Jackson.

The Senegal international has been the Blues’ sole option up top for the last two seasons but could find himself third choice come the start of the new Premier League campaign

It has raised doubts over Jackson’s future with BBC Sport reporting United officials have held talks with Jackson’s representative Ali Barat over a move.

United consider him an option for the summer but there is the acceptance a ‘lot needs to happen in terms of outgoings’.
