Manchester United are still owned by the Glazer family as they continue to mull over two ongoing bids.

Proposals headed-up by Sheikh Jassim from Qatar and British billionaire Sir Jim Ratcliffe – via his INEOS company – have yet to be accepted by the Americans and United remain at a crossroads off the field.

That means supporters will have to play the waiting game for a little while longer yet before looking forward to fresh beginnings.

Sheikh Jassim has to date been radio silent in terms of addressing his offer in public. However, in a rare interview, Sir Jim has spoken about the takeover to state that failure is not an option for him.

While there’s nothing yet to get supporters excited about a takeover being rubber-stamped, there are still one or two interesting snippets doing the rounds. Here’s out latest round-up of the main headlines;

Manchester United supporters have delivered a strong transfer message to the Glazer family.

As reported, the club already have one eye on next summer when it comes to their recruitment drive while initial plans are in place to make at least four key signings.

However, that news has been dead-batted by the supporters, who argue vast changes are needed behind the scenes in order for that to happen.

United want to strengthen up their squad at full-back, centre-back, central midfield and in attacking quarters.

One top-flight club is, seemingly, edging closer towards a takeover, even if Manchester United will have to wait a little while longer before the Glazer family make a final decision on two ongoing offers.

According to reports, Everton are on the verge of being sold to investment firm 777 Partners, which is based in US city Miami. They have been locked in discussions over purchasing the Toffees for some time.

Discussions between the Premier League side and MSP Sports Capital collapsed last month. That has opened up a door for 777 Partners to swoop in and, should all go to plan, assume control
