4-3-3: Predicted Man United line-up v Luton Town as £340k-a-week star returns in premier league

Manchester United will take on Luton Town at Old Trafford on Sunday, here’s our predicted XI for the game

Currently on a two-game losing streak at Old Trafford, a loss here would be catastrophic for United and would surely lead to weeks of negativity over the international break.

So with a win necessary, we see Ten Hag naming a strong line-up which probably resembles that which we saw in the week as the performance was decent.

Here is our predicted XI for Manchester United’s game against Luton Town.

Manchester United Predicted XI v Luton Town
Assuming we are due to see the strongest possible line-up here, one position that’s locked down is Andre Onana in goal. The Cameroonian keeper

Diogo Dalot retains his place at left-back but is on thin ice after a shaky display in Copenhagen

Aaron Wan-Bissaka then keeps his place at right-back given he is the best option there.

At centre-half, £340k-a-week man Raphael Varane likely finds himself back in the starting line-up after Jonny Evans’ injury. Varane looked poor on Wednesday but with some more game-time, he should return to his best alongside Harry Maguire.

Into midfield and we probably are looking at the same midfield that has started the past two games. Scott McTominay and Christian Eriksen continue, leaving no place for Sofyan Amrabat or Mason Mount who continues to struggle.

Bruno Fernandes should then start in the number 10 position.

The front three then we think will be the same as against Copenhagen, Marcus Rashford on the right and Alejandro Garnacho on the left wing.

Rasmus Hojlund then starts up-front fresh off the back of a brace midweek and desperate to grab his first Premier League goals.

Predicted XI: Onana; Wan-Bissaka, Varane, Maguire, Dalot; Eriksen, McTominay, Rashford, Bruno, Garnacho; Hojlund.
