(4-2-3-1) Man United predicted starting XI vs Luton Town with 5 major changes made by Erik Ten Hag, team news and injury update – Premier League

Erik ten Hag could bring Sergio Reguilon and Raphael Varane back into defence
Rasmus Hojlund still on the hunt for his first Premier League goal

Manchester United have been in a state of chaos throughout the season and that didn’t change on Wednesday night with the dramatic defeat to Copenhagen in the Champions League.

The Red Devils were excellent for roughly 40 minutes against the Danish side before Marcus Rashford’s red card changed the game, so manager Erik ten Hag must try and tap into what was going right in Scandinavia.

The pressure is on again for this Premier League game against Luton Town and while there are still lots of injuries for Ten Hag to deal with, the situation is slowly improving.

There is no need to rest anyone given an international break follows this match, so there may not be much rotation from Wednesday night even if they did lose the game 4-3.

One of the main aims will be for Rasmus Hojlund to finally get his first Premier League goal.

Here’s the team Ten Hag may pick to secure victory for Man Utd against Luton Town on Saturday.

GK: Andre Onana – The Cameroonian now regularly finds himself in situations where Man Utd have shipped a load of goals but they’re not explicitly his fault. The silly mistakes have subsided for the time being, which is great news for him and the team.

RB: Aaron Wan-Bissaka – Wan-Bissaka impressed in the early stages against Copenhagen and his return looks more valuable than many would have expected.

CB: Raphael Varane – He was rested for the majority of Wednesday as he comes back from another issue but should take Jonny Evans’ place against Luton.

CB: Harry Maguire – Very unfortunate to have a penalty given against him on Wednesday, but Maguire shouldn’t let that knock the confidence he has rebuilt in recent matches.

LB: Sergio Reguilon – The Spaniard has struggled for fitness since arriving but was on the bench against Copenhagen and in line to start here.

CM: Scott McTominay – There are other options some fans may prefer, but Ten Hag seems happy with McTominay in his midfield at the moment.

CM: Christian Eriksen – Often chosen for games where Man Utd expect to have more of the ball, Eriksen needs to bring plenty of creativity on Saturday afternoon.

RW: Alejandro Garnacho – Antony may return, but Man Utd looked great in the opening stages on Wednesday and Garnacho was a big part of that. This is the position with the most scope for change on Saturday.

AM: Bruno Fernandes – Having got the goal against Fulham, Fernandes will want to make up for lost time a bit here and grab another goal or two.

LW: Marcus Rashford – He may be suspended in Europe now but Rashford should make his Premier League return after a troublesome start to the season.

ST: Rasmus Hojlund – Perhaps this will be the day. Hojlund scored twice against Copenhagen but that Premier League goal needs to arrive soon
