‘Open to the move’ – Man United ‘move ahead’ of Real Madrid for £52 million transfer deal

Manchester united are looking to add two centre-backs to their side in the summer transfer window.

According to reports, Manchester United has surpassed Real Madrid in the competition to sign Leny Yoro, a defender for Lille.

Man United has already reached an agreement with the Ligue 1 team about the potential signing of Yoro and hopes to add at least two center backs to their playing roster this summer.

It is believed that United received an offer last week of £42 million plus an additional £10 million in add-ons; however, his transfer was delayed due to disagreements over personal terms, since he is believed to want a move to Real Madrid.

But it appears that things may have finally turned around. According to French writer Nabil Djellit, who initially revealed United’s bid for Yoro, they have already surpassed Real Madrid in the transfer race

The reporter claims he is now in negotiations with United about salary conditions and is open to moving to Old Trafford in the summer window.

Manchester United have seen two bids rejected by Everton for Jarrad Branthwaite, while they are yet to make a formal offer to Bayern Munich for the services of Matthijs de Ligt.

Manchester United are keeping their options open with regard to what happens next, with their pursuit of centre-back reinforcement a fluid situation that is intrinsically linked to player sales.

The club would be in the position to buy at least one centre-back straightaway this window, but the addition of a second and even possibly third would depend on raising funds to finance it.

The red Devils are wary of spending too much money early on this summer until they are confident of exactly how much they will bring in from sales
