United announced the sale of Facundo Pellistri to Greek giants Panathinaikos yesterday in a deal worth an initial £5.1million plus a further £1.7m in potential add-ons.

Pellistri’s departure is the first of several anticipated over the coming days.

Ugarte has his heart set on a move to Old Trafford and personal terms are not expected to be an issue.

However, any deal remains challenging if United don’t make sales. Thus any transfer is set to be completed closer to the end of the window.
