Manchester United made recent transfer approach for versatile 21-year-old Sevilla star Winger -Report

Following Juanlu Sanchez’s outstanding performance for Spain at the Olympics this summer, reports suggest that Manchester United made a move for the Sevilla winger.

The 21-year-old, who is capable of playing as a full-back, wing-back, or attacking player on the right flank, won a gold medal with his nation during their victory over France in the championship game.

He has also put on some impressive displays for his La Liga team. Man Utd reportedly expressed interest in signing him quickly after his Olympic win, according to ABC Sevilla.

However, it is evident that the Red Devils were unable to close the deal this time. Still, Sanchez will undoubtedly stay a star on United’s radar, and other elite teams will probably look to get his signature too.

Down the years, the Andalusian outfit have produced big names like Jose Antonio Reyes, Sergio Ramos, Jesus Navas and Alberto Moreno, so it could be that Sanchez will be their next success story.

United ended up bringing in Noussair Mazraoui as another option at right-back this season, with Aaron Wan-Bissaka leaving for West Ham.

Sanchez, however, might have had more opportunities further forward in Erik ten Hag’s side, given that Jadon Sancho left Old Trafford for an initial loan move to Chelsea.

It will be interesting to see how this saga develops in the near future as one imagines MUFC might still have Sanchez earmarked as a target to revisit again at some point.
