Manchester United closely Watching Euro 2024 sensational midfielder who is open to Premier League move

Manchester United are monitoring Sporting CP midfielder Morten Hjulmand as they look to bolster their squad in the summer.

Sporting CP midfielder Morten Hjulmand is allegedly being watched by Manchester United, according to a recent Record report (via Sport Witness).

But it’s known that Tottenham Hotspur is vying with the Red Devils for the services of the outstanding Danish midfield player this summer.

Hjulmand put on a number of outstanding performances for the Portuguese club in the middle of the park, and he had a good campaign there.

The Danish sensation played 49 games for Sporting CP in a variety of competitions last season, tallying four goals and four assists.

The 24-year-old anchored the midfield well and did well to average 2.0 tackles, 0.7 interceptions and 0.8 clearances per 90 minutes in Liga Portugal.

He has even been excellent when distributing the ball after completing 86.9% of his attempted passes in the Portuguese top tier (stats via whoscored).

His current contract at the Portuguese club will expire in the summer of 2028. Thus, Man United would have to launch a convincing offer if they are serious about recruiting the Denmark international this off-season.

Hjulmand is a tough-tackling midfielder who can read the danger well and can make some important interceptions for his team at the centre of the park.

He usually clears the danger when the opposition are on the front foot and can chip in by scoring and creating a handful of crucial goals for his side from midfield.

At 24, Hjulmund has got his peak years ahead of him which makes him a worthy target for the Red Devils to pursue this summer.
