Man Utd players ‘have private concerns over Ruben Amorim tactics as boss stands his ground – Reports
Since taking over for Erik ten Hag in November, Manchester United has had a terrible season, and Ruben Amorim has yet to witness a notable improvement in the team’s performance.
According to reports, a few Manchester United players debated whether or not Ruben Amorim would benefit from changing his strategy. Amorim, 40, was hired by the Red Devils in November after Erik ten Hag left.
But since Amorim continues to mostly use the team he inherited, United has battled for consistency and is presently ranked 13th on the Premier League table.
While there is no suggestion that there is any significant dressing room discontent, a new report from The Mail claims that some players have spoken about ‘whether a change of plan’ that would be better suited to their style would benefit the team moving forward.
Amorim enjoyed tremendous success at Sporting Lisbon with his preferred 3-4-3 formation and has continued to deploy that shape at Old Trafford.
But it’s said there are ‘growing concerns’ among some players that their could be more pain ahead unless he ‘at least considers’ tweaking his system.

The report comes just one week after Gary Neville questioned whether Amorim was getting his ideas across to United’s beleaguered squad in the wake of recent displays.
“I thought it would get better when Ruben Amorim came in, the enthusiasm of him and the new system, the players would buy into and we’d see a bounce, but we’ve seen the absolute opposite and it’s got a lot worse,” the former United defender said on The Gary Neville Podcast after the recent 2-0 loss against Crystal Palace.
“They (United) are obviously going to stick with Amorim. But the more you lose, the more difficult it is for the manager to convince the players of his idea
