Takeover talks continue
It’s now 305 days since the Glazer family announced their intention to sell-up at Manchester United, but they remain in charge.
Talks with Sheikh Jassim and Sir Jim Ratcliffe are continuing, but according to the Daily Mail, the takeover process has stalled due to United’s poor start to the season. It’s reported that both frontrunners are reluctant to meet the £6 billion asking price amid the underwhelming displays
Hojlund offers glimmer of hope
Paul Scholes believes Rasmus Hojlund can use his first Manchester United goal as a springboard for success, despite the crisis engulfing the club.
“I am really pleased for him to get off the mark. That will do him the world of good, it’s a scrappy goal I suppose and it gave United hope, but once they scored, Bayern would turn it on for five minutes and go up the other end and score and get a goal,” he told TNT Sports.
“When you look at the game as a whole, I thought Manchester United did well but still conceded two goals early on and lacked that concentration. Those three goals flattered Manchester United, I thought they were outclassed in the second half really. There is experience in this team, but it’s not being used.”

Man united to cut losses on Sancho
Manchester United are ready to sell Jadon Sancho to the highest bidder in the January transfer window after Erik ten Hag decided to cut his losses.
Sancho has been kicked out of the first-team squad after publicly falling out with Ten Hag over his non-selection for the squad to face Arsenal on September 3. The winger posted a statement on social media which accused the Dutchman of spreading “completely untrue” information and of making him a “scapegoat”.
