Man Utd have moved in to sign £60million playmaker with most Premier League assist this season
Manchester United must reinforce the wide attacking positions at the earliest and the name of Portuguese international, Pedro Neto is linked.
According to an exclusive story covered by TEAMtalk, Man Utd and Arsenal have made moves to sign the playmaker from Wolverhampton Wanderers.
However, the news source have revealed that for now, the Gunners have edged ahead in the race to hire the services of 23-year-old winger.
Neto’s current contract with Wolves will expire in the summer of 2027 and as per the report, it would take a fee of at least £60million to secure his signature.
In the current campaign, Man Utd wingers have been in dreadful form. Sancho featured in three league games before his outburst on Ten Hag and did not score a single goal.
Big money signing from last summer, Antony, is yet to find the net in the Premier League (9 games), similarly, Garnacho has featured in 10 league games so far and has not scored.
Marcus Rashford was our top scorer last season and this term, thus far, he has only netted a single goal in 11 PL appearances and provided just one assist.
Neto has been in fantastic form for Wolves. In 10 league appearances, the pacy attacker has directly contributed in 8 goals (1 goal and 7 assists).
Back in September, he put in a MOTM performance in the victory against champions, Manchester City, and then provided assists in the next three games against, Villa, Bournemouth and Newcastle respectively.
Unfortunately, he has missed the last two Premier League games due to a hamstring concern and will not be available for the Monday night fixture versus Fulham
