Man Utd have major advantage over Barca to agree over £8.4million a year deal for signing – Report

Manchester United have not made a great start to the season with two losses from three Premier League games.

The Red Devils have lost to both Brighton & Hove Albion and Liverpool and narrowly managed to get past Fulham.

After the kind of backing that Erik ten Hag had during the summer transfer window, there has been an immense backlash against him for failing to produce results on the pitch. Understandably, the club has been linked with solutions.

Despite landing Manuel Ugarte, the club has been linked with another midfielder, who obviously is a free agent considering the transfer window is closed.

As per French outlet, Le Figaro Sport, Man Utd have the edge over Barcelona in the race to sign 29-year-old ex-Juventus midfielder Adrien Rabiot. The Frenchman continues to wait for a new club after his contract with the Old Lady expired last season.

His agent, who happens to be his mother, is demanding a pay package of around £8.4m a year for her son.

Considering Barcelona’s financial situation, despite their desire to sign the ex-PSG midfielder, they might not be able to. On the other hand, the wages should not be an issue for United.
