Manchester United fans dropped a clear-cut verdict on Mason Mount after his cameo performance against Manchester City in the Premier League clash at Old Trafford.

Manchester City and Manchester United played out a 0-0 draw in the Premier League on Sunday afternoon in a lacklustre encounter in the Manchester derby.

Mason Mount made his return to the Manchester United first-team squad after the end of the March international break and is being eased into action for the club.

Following United’s result against Nottingham Forest, Mason Mount was on the bench for Sunday’s 0-0 Premier League draw against Manchester City.

Ruben Amorim subbed on Mount in the 71st minute in place of Manuel Ugarte and the former United midfielder impressed with his cameo performance at Old Trafford.

United fans on social media platform X, formerly known as Twitter, praised Mount and are keen to see the former England international “stay free from injury.”

One Red Devils supporter said: “Mason Mount fits this system so well. Only if he can stay fit.”

“Mason Mount, that cameo won’t go unnoticed,” another United fan tweeted.

Somebody else added: “I wanna see [an] injury-free Mason Mount next season.”

“On the bright side, that Mason Mount cameo was really good,” a fourth X user wrote.

While a fifth suggested: “Mason Mount, just stay free from injury, he will come in handy.”

“Mason Mount is so underrated,” someone else posted.

An eighth simply argued: “I would play Mason Mount over [Alejandro] Garnacho.”
