Following Tyrell Malacia’s performance against FCSB in the Europa League, Manchester United supporters were clear-cut in their assessment of him.

Since Ruben Amorim moved to Old Trafford from Sporting CP in November of last year, the Red Devils’ Europa League results have improved.

The Europa League remains United’s best option to secure Champions League football next season amid the Red Devils’ lacklustre Premier League campaign.

United are 12th in the Premier League and Amorim’s men are 12 points adrift from the top four after 23 league matches, with the Red Devils picking up only eight wins.

Tyrell Malacia started for Manchester United in their trip to the National Arena to face FCSB for their final Europa League match in the league phase format.

The 25-year-old United left-back made his long-awaited return for the Red Devils this season after missing the entirety of last season due to injury.

Malacia has mainly played second fiddle to Luke Shaw for the left-back role since former United manager Erik ten Hag signed him from Feyenoord in 2022.
