Man United’s shocking two reasons for selling Bruno Fernandes to Real Madrid after new transfer decision -Reports

The news that Real Madrid are interested in signing Bruno Fernandes this summer would previously have been brushed off by Manchester United fans. United wouldn’t sell their captain and star player, no matter the offer, would they?

Well, United are not the club they once were and the possibility can’t be entirely ruled out.

Real are reportedly considering a £90million offer for the attacking midfielder – and, should it come to fruition, that sort of money can’t be dismissed out of hand by the executives at Old Trafford, given the sticky situation they find themselves in.

Meanwhile, a recent report showed United have racked up a staggering net spend of €1.3bn (£1.08bn) since 2015 – more than any other club in the world.

Cashing in on Fernandes this summer would be akin to selling the crown jewels to keep the debt collectors at bay. But if Ratcliffe’s first year at the helm of United has told us anything, it’s that he isn’t concerned about the repercussions of making unpopular decisions if he believes it will have a financial benefit
