Man United’s negotiations reach ‘advanced stage’ to sell top Premier League winger this summer

Before the summer transfer window closes, Jadon Sancho and Manchester United may yet part ways, despite the player having recently been reintegrated into the first squad.

After falling out with manager Erik Ten Hag that resulted in the winger being sent out on loan, the 24-year-old appeared to have ended his career at United.

Sancho performed well with the Black and Yellows despite returning for the second part of the season to his former team, Borussia Dortmund.

The German team advanced to the Champions League final but lost to Real Madrid, the eventual winners and 15-time champions.

But even if he’s back with United, Sancho, who makes £250,000 a week, isn’t likely to play a major role in Ten Hag’s plans, therefore he might depart Old Trafford before August 30.

Borussia Dortmund close to re-signing Jadon Sancho

And although rumoured to have been in talks with PSG earlier in the window, according to a recent report from Fichajes, the London-born wide-attacker has another option available to him — to re-join Dortmund.

The outlet claims United and Dortmund’s negotiations for Sancho have reached an ‘advanced stage’ with the England international seemingly close to returning to his old stomping ground.

The summer window of 2023 saw the Red Devils pay Dortmund a reported £73 million for Sancho — a figure the Premier League giants know they’ll never be able to recoup, regardless of how these current talks end.

During his three years at Old Trafford, Sancho, who has also represented England on 23 occasions, has directly contributed to just 18 goals in 83 games in all competitions
