Man United send scouts to watch £60million-rated Bundesliga sensational star

Following his arrival from Sporting Lisbon last month, new Manchester United manager Ruben Amorim is examining how he can enhance his team and sent scouts to On Thursday night.

Manchester United dispatched scouts to Denmark to observe Omar Marmoush, a forward for Eintracht Frankfurt.

New United manager Ruben Amorim sent his team to take a close look after the Egyptian wonder scored the game-winning penalty kick for the Bundesliga team in their 2-1 victory over FC Midtjylland.

Scouts from Paris Saint-Germain, Barcelona, and Tottenham were also there. Marmoush now has 15 goals in all competitions this season, including 11 assists, thanks to the goal.

Liverpool are also understood to be admirers of Mohamed Salah’s international team-mate, who was the subject of two rejected bids from Nottingham Forest in the summer.

But it now appears that United are taking a serious interest in the 25-year-old, although Frankfurt hope he will stay until at least the end of the season.

Marmoush’s market value has risen considerably over the past 12 months, and the German outfit could seek close to £60million to agree a sale. Interest from multiple parties, and a potential bidding war, will certainly help their hopes of getting what they want.

Also at United, Sir Dave Brailsford, Sir Jim Ratcliffe’s trusted confidante, has been backed to help Manchester United free-wheel back to success.

Simon Clifford worked with former England rugby boss Sir Clive Woodward at Southampton in 2005. Clifford believes attitudes have changed since then, and said: “There’s now much greater encouragement for sports to learn from each other.

“In general, people in football are much more open-minded. Look at what Jim Ratcliffe has achieved with Nice. And Dave Brailsford has been successful wherever he has worked.

“From a high performance point of view, Brailsford could come in and help any sport across the world. I think Ineos will get it right at United. For what they’re trying to achieve, there’s a big job in turning it round but the right mix is there.”
