Man United reach agreement ‘to sign £60m World-class midfielder in loan-to-buy deal’ as key transfer deal finally agreed -Report

Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are nearing an agreement to bring in Manuel Ugarte on a season-long loan, with the option to extend the stay.

The Manchester Evening News claims that additional negotiations with PSG have advanced and that a deal is now anticipated to close soon.

Scott McTominay won’t need to be sold this summer because of the loan arrangement rather than a straight permanent one, but the team is still accepting bids for Christian Eriksen and Casemiro, two aging players.

Ugarte is rumored to be eager to leave Old Trafford after struggling to find success in his debut season at PSG.

Talks between the clubs have been ongoing for some time, with the French giants hoping to recoup most of the £51million paid for the player last summer. A compromise has now been reached.

Head coach Luis Enrique initially played the midfielder regularly but reported concerns over the player’s perceived weakness in possession saw him lose his place as the season wore on.

Ugarte will now be tasked with improving a midfield alongside young United star Kobbie Mainoo
