Man United plotting surprise move for Premier League star striker to potentially replace Marcus Rashford

According to sources, Manchester United is interested in Brighton & Hove Albion forward Evan Ferguson because of the uncertainty surrounding Marcus Rashford’s future.

Rashford is under scrutiny going into Sunday’s Manchester derby because, according to several reports in recent days, Ruben Amorim does not include the England forward in his long-term plans, and the Red Devils are open to hearing bids for their standout academy graduate.

The Peoples Person recently reported that, in the face of ongoing scrutiny, the 27-year-old had “had enough” at Old Trafford.

Rashford is currently Amorim’s most dependable attacking option, though, so it seems unlikely that United would allow him to leave without looking into possible replacements.

Regardless, his potential is still admired, making him an “attractive profile” for United’s project.

It is understood that it is not going to be easy to secure his signature, as Brighton value their number 28 at around £60 million. He is contracted to the club until the summer of 2029.

The Spanish outlet adds that United are also considering other attacking options, including Sporting CP star Viktor Gyökeres.

The Sweden international, who was once on Brighton’s books, has already played under Amorim. Currently, he seems to be a more suitable signing for the Mancunian giants, owing to his prolific form in the Liga Portugal as well as the Champions League
