Man United offered sensational swap deal for £25m Inter Milan star

Manchester United have been offered a swap deal with Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Inter Milan right-back Denzel Dumfries, according to reports.

Man United has held negotiations with Bayern Munich regarding Noussair Mazraoui and will be looking to add a new right-back if Wan-Bissaka leaves. Mazraoui is wanted by West Ham as well.

The two teams had agreed on a £13.5 million transfer price with an additional £3 million in add-ons for the 26-year-old.

But negotiations with West Ham collapsed on Friday, and Mazraoui—who was an Ajax player under Erik ten Hag—is reportedly holding out for a transfer to United.

The Telegraph claims that United may have an alternate plan because Wan-Bissaka is being pursued by Inter, and middlemen have talked about the potential of a trade agreement between the Serie A team and Dumfries.

The 26-year-old, who United signed for £50m from Crystal Palace in 2019, has also received interest from Galatasaray.

‘I just want a squad that is strong as possible,’ Ten Hag said at his press conference in Los Angeles on Friday night.

‘We have already had two very good buys, so when everyone is fit, we have a team who can beat everyone, but also in the squad depth, we have to catch up. We know that because we had injuries and we are vulnerable and we have to avoid this by firstly getting less injuries, picking up less injuries.

‘And secondly, our squad has to be good in its depth. Of course, we have the quality, but in the depth, now we have to catch up and even more because this season will be the survival of the fittest.

‘I think the good thing is we already signed two players but I think it belongs to a club as Manchester United that you are always looking if the opportunity is there for better. And we still have time until August 31.’
