Man United make the first offer to sign £38m-rated PSG star Midfielder in the next few hours – Reports

Manchester United have held talks with PSG over the potential signing of midfielder Manuel Ugarte, according to Traspasos.

The 23-year-old Uruguayan international has already approved a transfer, and Manchester United has selected him as their top midfield target.

According to recent reports, the midfield player’s move to United “continues to gain strength.” The Red Devils and PSG have had “positive” conversations thus far.

In the “next few hours,” the team may submit their “first offer” for the holding midfield player. Manchester United is adamant about obtaining Ugarte from PSG.

Although they were connected to Ugarte last summer, United chose not to pursue the player. He eventually turned down Chelsea to join PSG from Sporting.

Ugarte was an unused substitute on 14 occasions during his debut campaign. Fabian Ruiz, Vitinha and Zaire-Emery were the preferred midfield trio for manager Luis Enrique.

Ugarte won a stunning 3.9 tackles and 6.4 duels per game last term with 7.2 recoveries. He was likewise impressive with his distribution, completing 91 percent of his passes in Ligue 1.

His passing and ball retention ability sets him apart from Casemiro, who is no longer in his prime. The Brazilian star only completed 83 percent of his passes last term.

Ugarte, who has been described as ‘tireless‘ by PSG’s official website, is valued at £38 million by Transfermarkt. We won’t be surprised if United propose to pay a similar fee
