Man United captain Bruno Fernandes makes Viktor Gyokeres feelings clear ahead of summer transfer

Manchester United and Arsenal have both been heavily linked with a move for Sporting striker Viktor Gyokeres in the summer transfer window

Bruno Fernandes has sent his support to Viktor Gyokeres after the Sporting striker completed the domestic double for the Portuguese club this season.

The Swede has been in the form of his life at Sporting after being spotted by Ruben Amorim at Coventry City. Remarkably, Gyokeres has finished this season with a total of 54 goals in all competitions and 97 in 102 appearances for the club.

Gyokeres has been heavily linked with the exit door for several months and if this weekend was his last appearance for the club, he ended it on a high. With his team on the verge of losing the Taca de Portugal to fierce rivals Benfica, the striker scored a 101st minute penalty to take the game to extra-time.

Once there, Sporting sealed the deal as Conrad Harder and Francisco Trincao scored to win the competition and end the season on a high. Unsurprisingly, Gyokeres was delighted post-match and took to social media to celebrate.

In a short reel of himself strutting with the trophy, Gyokeres commented: “Walk it like I talk it.” Fernandes showed his public support by liking the post.
