Man United agree terms with PSG to seal Manuel Ugarte transfer this summer window

Manchester United are set to sign Manuel Ugarte on a permanent deal from Paris Saint-Germain with the clubs close to an agreement over a €60million (£51m) move.

PSG Midfielder Manuel Ugarte is said to have agreed to personal terms in July, is keen to join Old Trafford this summer.

Despite United’s earlier this month declaration that they would not agree to PSG’s original demands of €70 million for the Uruguay international, the two teams have continued to negotiate.

There have been discussions on a permanent move this summer and a loan agreement that would entail a purchase obligation the following year.

According to Le Parisien, an agreement to bring Ugarte to United on a permanent basis this summer is almost finalized.

The 23-year-old will cost £51 million to United, which is remarkably similar to the figure PSG paid just last summer to recruit him.
While there are some details still to be finalised, the move is now expected to be completed in the coming days.

After arriving in Paris last year, Ugarte saw his first-team opportunities dwindle as the 2023-24 season wore on.

The arrival of Joao Neves from Benfica has pushed him further down the pecking order with PSG boss Luis Enrique leaving him out of his squad for the opening game of the season against Le Harve on Friday night.

United have made four signings this summer with Joshua Zirkzee, Leny Yoro, Matthijs de Ligt and Noussair Mazraoui joining the club but an addition in midfield has also been a top priority in midfield.
