Man United agree deal to sign Leny Yoro with first part of medical done

Lille have accepted €50m plus €12m add-ons proposal last week, documents now being checked on club side.

Manchester United are on the verge of sealing their second transfer of the summer with Leny Yoro set to complete his medical to reinforce Erik ten Hag’s defence at Old Trafford.

Leny Yoro is set to sign a five-year deal with Manchester United should he pass his medical.

The agreement was made last week before the 18-year-old defender decided to make the move on Tuesday evening.

Yoro has come to Manchester in order to complete a medical exam and settle terms.

The five-year contract he is expected to sign will include a one-year option to extend it by another twelve months.

The Red Devils signed Joshua Zirkzee for £36.5 million from Bologna, and the Frenchman is expected to be Erik ten Hag’s second summer acquisition. With similarities to Virgil van Dijk, Real Madrid had the upper hand in the competition for the star player.

Thus far, Los Blancos don’t seem inclined to match Manchester United’s bid. When his contract ends next summer, Lille would rather strike a deal now rather than risk losing him on a free agent.
