Joshua Zirkzee ‘wanted’ in surprise Juventus transfer as Man United scout £83m outstanding Sporting Lisbon winger -Report

Serie A giants Juventus reportedly want to bring Joshua Zirkzee back to Italy this winter but they are waiting on Manchester United to approve his next move.

Zirkzee is being considered by Juventus as they seek to expand their forward line options during the January transfer window, according to Italian outlet Tuttosport.

However, the Turin club would only be able to finance a loan and would not be able to make a permanent deal.

Zirkzee made his Premier League debut against Fulham and has since made 12 appearances for United this season.

He hasn’t scored since, though, and has filled in for Rasmus Hojlund ever since the Dane’s injury recovery.

However, he did contribute significantly to Thursday night’s tie with Fenerbahce by setting up Christian Eriksen to open the scoring.

It is believed that Erik ten Hag is willing to be patient with Zirkzee at the moment and the idea of loaning him out is not currently on the agenda.

Elsewhere, TBR Football reports that United, Manchester City and Liverpool are all looking at Sporting winger Geovany Quenda. The 17-year-old has broken into the senior team in Ruben Amorim’s side this season and has become a regular in the team.

In 13 appearances, he has a modest haul of one goal and one assist to his name but it is believed the North West trio have seen enough to make him a target. It is believed that scouts from all three clubs were in attendance this week for Sporting’s victory over Sturm Graz to watch Quenda but he only appeared for six minutes.

United are thought to be ahead of City and Liverpool in the race for Quenda but the Reds will need to splash the cash to get him. The teenager is understood to have a release clause valued at £83m
