Jadon Sancho told ‘he can’t stay at Chelsea’ as costly Man Utd option emerges -Reports
Man united Loanee Jadon Sancho has been told he can’t stay at Chelsea next season by ex-Blues star William Gallas – after the England winger’s difficult loan spell at Stamford Bridge continued in their 1-0 loss to Arsenal.
Sancho arrived on loan in west London from Manchester United last summer looking to prove himself after being frozen out at Old Trafford and initially impressed under Enzo Maresca in his first few games
Gallas – who played 225 times for Chelsea between 2001 and 2006 – said Sancho had to do more to demand a permanent switch and said he could not “play well for a few games and then chill out”.
“He’s a talented player, everybody knows this, but we don’t know why he can’t perform and can’t show what he can do,” the former centre-back told Stadium Astro.
“At Dortmund, he was magnificent. At Manchester United it didn’t work well for him. He came to Chelsea and at the beginning we saw that Sancho from Dortmund, but then he disappeared.
“I don’t know what the problem is, but at the moment he can’t stay at Chelsea because he has to do more. When you play in the Premier League you have to play every game at the highest level. It’s not easy, but you can’t just play well for a few games and then chill out.”
Sancho played 76 minutes against Arsenal but had only 34 touches, none of which were inside the Arsenal box, and he also failed to have a shot on target
There have already been calls from a large group of Chelsea fans to terminate his loan deal, even if it means having to pace a pricy sum to Manchester United.
