I would love to play for Man United – Huge Boost for Man United as £50m-rated Top Premier League striker reveals he wants Old Trafford move this summer as agent informs his club

It is only a matter of time until Man United formally confirms the £35 million signing of Joshua Zirkzee, the star player from Bologna.

After landing in England on Friday, Zirkzee, who will sign a five-year contract at Old Trafford, completed medical examinations.

This week, former Man United assistant coach Rene Meulensteen discussed the “very skilled” Zirkzee, expressing his opinion that his countryman may be a “interesting” addition to Ten Hag’s squad.

According to talkSPORT, Meulensteen is just surprised that United chose not to select a more “experienced” candidate.

Well, they still could.

“Not that Brentford aren’t there but playing for a big club and fighting for trophies, I really want to do that.” He insists Brentford boss Thomas Frank is aware of this and many would be surprised if Toney did not move on this summer

“If the chance was to come along [to move to a big six club], I would be silly not to look more into it.“The next club I go to if I was to move, it would be the right club.”

Ivan Toney’s contract expires next summer. And while speculation has been a little quiet so far – perhaps due to Toney’s involvement at Euro 2024 – there is still a very real chance that a striker at the peak of his powers will be on the move between now and September.

According to Christian Falk – a reporter who specialises in Bayern Munich and claims to know a lot about United’s striker plans at a time in which ex-Allianz Arena starlet Zirkzee heads to Manchester – it is certainly possible that Toney ends the summer in that famous red shirt too.

Falk, writing on X, insists that there is interest from Man United in the Brentford talisman. What’s more, Toney is interested in United too.

He ‘wants to join’ Ten Hag’s team, and his agent has reportedly informed The Bees of his stance.

Despite his precarious contract situation, HITC understands that Brentford will still hold out for £50 million.
