I will join Man United on one condition – Zinedine Zidane drops clearest hint yet over his future as Man Utd consider sacking Erik ten Hag
Zinedine Zidane has given a major hint about his future in management following rumours he could be in line to replace Erik ten Hag at Manchester United.
With just five goals scored this season, United has the second-fewest goals scored in the Premier League, and Ten Hag is still under tremendous pressure at the club following another goalless performance over the weekend.
With the club’s worst-ever start to a Premier League season, Ten Hag has beaten his own record from the previous campaign and United is currently ranked fourteenth in the table.
In spite of conflicting information, Sky Sports News asserts that they have not yet gotten in touch with Thomas Tuchel, another name connected to the position.
Former Real Madrid manager Zidane is another name that is frequently put into the mix when it comes to United.
Zidane is currently 28/1 to be United’s next manager, however, the Frenchman dropped a huge hint over his future earlier this year.
Speaking ahead of the 2024 Champions League final Zidane explained that a return to management isn’t his top priority at this current time.
“It’s been three years since I’ve been coach of Real Madrid“, Zidane said.
“I was a player, I was a coach, and I was always a jack of all trades. But today, I want other things. I enjoy my life. I take care of my children, and my grandchildren too, since I recently became a grandfather.
“My life is full, and that’s the most important thing for me,” he continued.
Zidane is still yet to manage outside of Madrid, where he has had two spells between 2016-2021 winning three Champions League titles in the process.
This does leave question marks over whether he would succeed at another club, particularly a club in United’s current position without the superstar lineup he had at Madrid
