Kylian Mbappe has told potential Manchester United owner Sheikh Jassim of his summer transfer plans.

Kylian Mbappe has confirmed he doesn’t plan on leaving PSG this summer, despite opting against extending his contract beyond 2024.

The France captain has shot down Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani’s hopes of a blockbuster transfer if he becomes Manchester United’s owner.

Mbappe is reportedly one of Sheikh Jassim’s dream targets if he buys United from the Glazers in the coming months.

But the 24-year-old is widely believed to want to land at Real Madrid after the La Liga giants tried and failed to sign him last year.

And he may have all but confirmed his intention to do so by suggesting he will stay at PSG for the final half of his two-year contract, despite the club’s desire to cash in to prevent losing him for free.

“I have already said that I will stay. I have already said that long before all this happened,” Mbappe told Telefoot.

“I only resolve to play at PSG next year. That’s what I said. There are a lot of things that happen in a year, even more so at a club like PSG.”

Mbappe has the option to extend his PSG contract by a further year, but he has confirmed he is eyeing a Parc des Princes exit.

A move to Real this summer has been deemed unlikely, given Los Blancos have just sanctioned a big-money deal for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham.

But the writing looks to be on the wall for a free transfer at the end of next season, which would arguably be the biggest coup in football history
