On paper, it’s exactly the type of signing United should be looking to make: a young, Premier League proven player who is years from his peak.

United’s attacking signings have not lived up to the hype in recent years; Antony and Jadon Sancho have flopped and Rasmus Hojlund has hardly hit the ground running.
